About this Sermon

Mark 1:1 states this is “the beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ. . .”

Thinking about beginnings can be filled with exhilaration and anxiety. Beginnings mean we have lots of unanswered questions. What does the idea that Mark 1:1 is just the beginning of the Good News mean? To those who originally read it? And what does it mean for us? Where do we find ourselves in this Good News? What gift might the word “beginning” be to us, both as individuals and as a faith community?
