Guest harpist Melissa Gallant will be with us on December 21st (the Sunday before Christmas) during our Sunday morning worship service. Come worship with us and enjoy some beautiful harp music.
On December 17th at 6:30 PM we will meet together in the fellowship hall, and then go caroling in the neighborhood around the church. After caroling in the neighborhood, we will enjoy some refreshments and warm up in the fellowship hall. Then, we will go caroling with a couple shut-ins.
Sunday December 14th our choir will perform their Christmas Cantata during our worship service, which begins at the regular 9:30 am time. Then, at 11:00 am we will share a meal together in the fellowship hall.

We will be joining with First Christian Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Brown Street United Methodist Church, and St. John’s Episcopal Church on Sunday July 6th at 10:00 am out in the street for a combined worship service. We will meet on 6th Street between First Christian Church and Trinity United Methodist Church.
First Baptist Church will gather with the other downtown churches for our annual Blessing of the Palms service at the corner of 6th and North Street at 10:15 am on Sunday April 13th. Then, First Baptist will join with First Christian for a special time of worship together at First Christian Church.

We are in conversations with Special Hands School of Art to partner together to bring a school of art to Lafayette for people with special needs.
