The 2015 Sidewalk Chalk Festival, held September 13-19 at First Baptist Church was a success thanks to the 120 artists who participated and the continuing support of many people. Co-Organizers, Harry Mohler and Marcia Sledd wish to thank the Friends of the Education Building, Mohler Associates, Len Wilson, Rex and Reta Bowman, Clay and Marcia Sledd, Gordon and Harriet Coppoc, Carol Starr, Joan Hunt and Carol Dearing for all their support and help. A special thank you to Hometown Shirts of Delphi for helping highlight 8 Years of Sidewalk Chalk Festivals with their great shirts. A special thank you to the Lafayette Urban Ministry After School program for participating and bringing so much energy to the event.
This year’s winners are: Adult artists: First place- Carol Dearing; Second place- Carol Luzon. Teen artist: First Place-Maia Talbert, Second place- Marah Smelser. Family Prize: the Focosi and Sturgeon family group. Child artist: Allyson Wiger. Most enthusiastic : Tianna Wallace and Ahmani Robinson. Winners may pick up their prizes in the First Baptist Church office, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. And 5:00 p.m.
