Prelude – “Give Thanks” Smith/Raney – Melanie Manges

Welcome to Worship – Gordon Coppoc

Gathering Song “Give Thanks”

Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy One,
Give thanks because he’s given Jesus Christ his Son. (Repeat)
And now, let the weak say “I am strong,”
Let the poor say, “I am rich,”
Because of what the Lord has done for us.
And now, let the weak say “I am strong,”
Let the poor say, “I am rich,”
Because of what the Lord has done for us.
Give thanks!

Call to Worship – (inspired by Ephesians 5:20, written by Thom Shuman) – Gordon Coppoc

Give thanks to God! We thank God for joy, for laughter, for abundant blessings of every kind. Give thanks to God at all times and for everything! We thank God, when we can and as we can,
for struggles, for solitude, for fears.
Give thanks to God
at all times and for everything
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank God that, in Christ,
our joys as well as our pain,
our losses as well as our laughter,
are in God’s heart and hands.

Hymn of Praise – “For the Beauty of the Earth”

(Verse 1) For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise this our song of grateful praise.
(Verse 2) For the wonder of each hour of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light,
Lord of all, to thee we raise this our song of grateful praise.
(Verse 3) For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above; for all gentle thoughts and mild,
Lord of all, to thee we raise this our song of grateful praise.

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Gordon Coppoc

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
 as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Hymn of Thanksgiving – “Great is Thy Faithfulness”

(Verse 1) Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with thee;
Thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not;
As thou has been thou forever wilt be.
(Refrain) Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided-
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
(Verse 2) Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.
(Refrain) Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed thy hand hath provided-
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Offering Gordon Coppoc

Almighty God, giver of every good and perfect gift,
Teach us to give to you all that we have and all that we are,
That we might praise you not with our words only,
But with our whole lives. Amen.
