Our church will celebrate open communion and Consecration Sunday this Sunday, October 2. Jacob Garrett (cello) and Melanie Manges (keyboard) will open the service with the prelude. Pastor Gary Reif will preach on “Doing Something More” and has chosen the following as “Preparation for Worship.”
“The whole gospel is dramatized in the ordinance of Holy Communion; it is a reminder of Christ’s giving and our receiving. We witness anew His incarnation, His life and ministry, His death and resurrection. We sense a Presence which time has not dimmed, and we rise on wings of faith to discern that hour when all persons of faith share in the heavenly feast provided for those who love Him.”
Please join us at 9:30 AM and University Church at 11:00. There will be a “Gathering Time”, a time of fellowship shared by both congregations at 10:30.
